Fountains & Chandeliers

Been feeling nostalgic lately. I miss a lot of senseless crap about NJ. Twenty four hour diners, Jug-handles, the soothing staccato bu-bump, bu-bump, bu-bump driving  on the Belt Parkway,  dirty-water hotdogs with grape soda, real deli’s, and familiar faces. But the thing I miss most since moving from New Jersey are the low budget, no-frills tv commercials for local businesses. Yeah, Florida has them too.

What makes the NJ commercials so memorable is the level of seediness, paired with thick Brooklyn accents & bad acting.

If you are from the NY, NJ metro area then you have seen the US window factory commercial.

” guaranteed to never crack, fade, pit, peel, rot, rust, or wear out…”

During moments of solace — That line recites over and over in my mind. I can’t make it stop.

They sound like my parents. Oh my gah..
